Renown
Renown is how you track a character’s standing within the Bounty Hunters Lodge . Renown is a numerical value that starts at 1, and increases as a you earn reputation as a bounty hunter.
Gaining renown
- Completing a bounty successfully, increases your your renown score by 1
- If you share a short write up of the adventure you earn an additional point!
Downtime activities that don't involve adventuring can also improve your renown score. For example you can use the time between adventures to improve your renown within your guild by performing off-screen bounties, and socializing with prominent people in the guild. After doing so for a number of weeks equal to your current renown, your score increases by 1.
Losing renown
- If you fail a bounty or die you lose 1 renown.
Ranks
You gain benefits, and access to resources based on your ranks of renown.
Renown 4 or Lower. You are a newcomer in the guild.
- Lifestyle: Poor
- Other members of the guild have an indifferent attitude toward you by default.
- Free lodging and food in dire circumstances and pay for your funeral if needed.
- Start each mission with a Healing Potion (can’t be saved up).
Renown 5 or Higher. You are an established member of the guild.
- Gain a Contact. Your DM will assign you a contact or have you roll on the contacts table for the appropriate guild.
- If you are accused of a crime, your guild offers legal support, as long as a good case can be made for your innocence or the crime was justifiable.
- Gain a Sending Stone that is connected to the Lodge.
Renown 10 or Higher. You are an established member of the guild
- Lifestyle: Modest
- Other members of the guild have a friendly attitude toward you by default. (Individual members might have reasons to dislike you despite your renown.)
- Gain a Common Magic Item of choice.
Renown 15 or Higher. You are a respected member of the guild.
- Additional Rival. Your DM will assign you a contact or have you roll on the rivals table for the appropriate guild.

Renown 20 or Higher. You are a respected member of the guild.
- Lifestyle: Comfortable
- Guild will mount a rescue mission for you (aka. get out of jail card)
- Gain an Uncommon Magic Item of choice.
Renown 30 or Higher. You are a veteran member of the guild.
- Guild will revive you for free as many times as necessary, but you still lose 1d4 renown
- Gain a free
Renown 40 or Higher. You are a high-up member of the guild.
- Lifestyle: Wealthy
- Gain a Rare Magic Item of choice.
Renown 50 or Higher. You are part of the guild master council
